Love Came Down at Christmas
|
|
By Ramelle DeVries
(15 minutes)
Four easy-to-teach songs. Three different progam options: Option One: Short drama between songs performed by characters Option Two: Narrations between songs Option Thre: Simple speaking parts for children and/or memory verses
“Love Came Down at Christmas” is designed to give you a simple program for your little ones.
The drama performed by two characters, Dovey and Donkey (we suggest older children or adults play these parts), are short scenes. Dovey gives Donkey a preview of the Christmas story. From his carrying Mary to Bethlehem, the announcement to the shepherds and how even today, a lowly donkey can be found in Nativity scenes as Jesus’ birth is remembered.
No special sets are required, only a simple stage for the two characters.
Included are the songs “The Friendly Beasts” and “Love Came Down at Christmas,” both traditional though not familiar Christmas carols. Along with the very familiar “Away in a Manger” and an additional new song, “Merry Christmas, Sing it Loud!,” we present you with a mini program for your mini people.
You will find this program easily teachable.
